Monday Evening Book Club: Hosted by reference librarian Vanessa Colantonio, this book club runs from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the boardroom at the Poirier branch. The next meeting will be on Dec. 1 and the club will discuss Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. (Synopsis: "Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. Philosopher's Cafe: Research in Exercise and Nutrition, What do we really know?: It is difficult to do research on the human response to exercise and nutritional regimes. There are so many variables that cannot be controlled in human study. On Nov 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., you can join SFU lecturer Tony Leland in the Inlet Theatre to find out what we really know. Drop-in, no registration required.

Tech Café: Sit down with one a teen volunteer for free one-on-one help with your basic computer questions. Drop in to the ParkLane Room on Fridays through Nov. 28 between 4:30 and 6 p.m. for help with a variety of technology basics such as email, smartphones, texting, Microsoft Office and more.

Following are some storytimes at Terry Fox Library:

Saturday Storytime: Add some fun to Saturday. Visit the library on the third Saturday of each month and enjoy stories fingerplays and songs. The next Saturday Storytime is tomorrow (Nov. 15), from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Babytime: Make language fun and start early with Babytime. Help your baby develop speech and language skills - enjoy bouncing, singing and rhyming with stories. Babytime is a fun, social bonding activity for babies and caregivers, running Tuesdays, Nov. 18 to Dec. 9, 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Storytime: Introduce kids to the love of books and language. Children and caregivers will enjoy interactive stories, songs, rhymes and more as Storytime prepares children to learn to read. Drop by the library on Wednesdays, Nov. 19 to Dec. 10, and Fridays, Nov. 21 to Dec. 12, 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Pyjama Storytime: Tuck into a story - children and caregivers will be entertained with stories, songs, rhymes and more. Kids are encouraged to wear their pyjamas and bring their favourite stuffie on the first Wednesday of the month. The next storytime is on Dec. 3 from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.
