Middle School Reading Club: The Middle School Only Summer Reading Club continues until school re-opens. Kids in Grades 6 to 8 can continue to submit book reviews for weekly book draws. Review forms can be picked up or submitted at the Information and Ask Me Desks.

New hours: Coquitlam Public Library now has expanded opening hours on weekdays: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Estate Planning: Building your Legacy: This program runs Oct. 21, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the City Centre branch, where financial advisor James Leung will give offer information on strategies to consider for preserving everything you've worked to build. In this free seminar, you will learn: the value of having an estate plan - beyond a simple will; four key building blocks for an effective estate plan; and what to consider when creating or updating your estate plan. PORT MOODY

Build your English skills: If you're working on building your English skills, PoMo librarians want to meet you. Join them for a Friday morning English Practice Group from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the library's ParkLane Room. This is a free, drop-in program for adults of all English levels.

Fall preschool storytime programs: PMPL's preschool storytime programs are starting this month for all ages, from babies to preschoolers. Meet other local parents and learn fun songs and rhymes at Baby Sing and Learn (for children up to 18 months) every Tuesday from 2 to 2:45 p.m. starting Sept. 16 and on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. starting Sept. 26. On Thursdays starting Sept. 18, let your toddler (aged one to two and a half years) dance and clap along at Toddler Storytime from 10 and 10:30 a.m. Explore the best in picture books at PMPL's interactive Preschool Storytime (ages two to five) from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays starting Sept. 17. All programs are free, drop-in - and fun.

Share photos online: On Thursday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 3 p.m., take a tour of the different photo sharing, editing and storage services available online. Space is limited, so call the library at 604-469-4577 to reserve a seat.

Be the Fun Parent, Not the Friend: Are you a parent with children from ages one to four years? Join Lisa Bunnage of Bratbusters Parenting Services for a workshop on how to be both the fun parent and disciplinarian. Learn great tips and expert methods to help you successfully raise your child. The session is at Fox on Saturday, Sept. 27, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Registration is appreciated.

Fall into good health: Are you having trouble sleeping? Do you feel like you need a boost to get through the afternoon? Is your digestion slowing down? Jill Scott, a naturopathic doctor at Port Moody Integrated Health, will talk about tips for dealing with common issues that can show up in the fall and how you can take control of your health to feel your best through the changing of the seasons.
