Culture Days Filmfest: From Sept. 26 to 28, four films will be shown in Room 136 at the City Centre branch. Admission is free but space is limited - arrive early to ensure you get a seat - and drinks and snacks will be provided. The films are:

Teen film night: Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Sept. 26, 5:30 p.m. (136 minutes; rated PG for action scenes).

Animated short films: Saturday, Sept. 27, 12:30 p.m. (90 minutes; rated G). See the amazing progress made in animation over the course of 20 years with short films by Pixar and other studios. These films create a rich world and a compelling story in just a few minutes, often with no dialogue.

Foreign film: The Sapphires: Sunday, Sept. 28, 12:30 p.m. (98 minutes; rated PG for violence and coarse language).

Foreign film: Red Cliff: Sunday, Sept. 28, 2:15 p.m. (148 minutes; rated 14A for gory violence and a suggestive scene; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult).

Looking for a Job? Power Resumes: A strong resume is crucial - it will catch the attention of employers and help get an interview. Learn how to choose the right resume style and add the "wow" factor that will make you stand out and land that new job. Next Thursday, Sept. 25 from 7 to 8 p.m., you can join expert presenters from Training Innovations who will be on hand to answer questions and provide feedback. Tech Café: Sit down with one of PMPL's friendly and knowledgeable teen volunteers for free one-on-one help with your basic computer questions. Drop in to the ParkLane Room on Fridays from Sept. 26 to Nov 28 between 4:30 and 6 p.m. for help with a variety of technology basics such as email, smartphones, texting, Microsoft Office and more.

Calming your Anxious Mind: We all have anxious moments but, sometimes, worry can take over your life. Join Dr. Jill Scott on Monday, Sept 22 for naturopathic tips on reducing anxiety with simple changes, including lifestyle modifications, sleep, nutrition, exercise and nutriceuticals. She will be presenting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Space is limited, so call 604 469-4577 to reserve a seat.

CPP and OAS: Join a citizens services specialist from Service Canada at Terry Fox Library and discover the many benefits available under the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security programs. You will hear about Survivor/Death Benefits, Canada Pension Disability Benefits, Guaranteed Income Supplement Allowance, and Allowance for the Survivor. This informative session will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and registration is appreciated.
