PORT MOODY

Twilight tales: Parents and kids of all ages are welcome at PMPL's Tuesday evening family storytime. Join librarians for a relaxing half-hour of stories, songs and more. Come in pyjamas or bring your favourite stuffed friend. This drop-in program runs Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7 p.m. until Aug. 21.

Great summer reads: PMPL provides free access to books, magazines, eBooks and other resources that will help you make the most out of summer. Learn barbecuing tips from the experts, plan vacations and local outings using the library's wide selection of travel guidebooks, consult its hiking maps and how-to books on better golfing, boating, running and other outdoor activities. Just want to unwind at the end of your busy day? Check out the large selection of movies.

Last chance to create a Book Buzz: Calling all teens. Create a video about your favourite book and you could win $50 to spend at Coquitlam Centre mall, or other great prizes. PMPL is hosting the Book Buzz contest for people ages 13 to 18 years as part of the Port Moody Youth Arts Festival. Make a short video explaining what's great about your favourite book and upload it to YouTube. Email the link to youth services librarian Maryn Ashdown at [email protected] no later than July 23 - that's Monday - and you'll be entered in prize draws. Winning videos will be screened in the Inlet Theatre during the free Port Moody Youth Arts Festival gala event on July 29.
