Share English practice groups for adults (drop-in): Looking for a place to practise speaking English? Go to PMPL's ParkLane Room on Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. anad join other English learners in this free program put on by Share Family and Community Services. Enjoy conversations with the other participants and the group leader. You will also find out more about your community in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Book Buddies: Kids in Grades 2 to 4 can get extra reading and writing practice with a teen buddy. Share books, play word games, write stories and more. Starting in October, the program runs on Saturdays from 10 to 10:45 a.m. or 11 to 11:45 a.m. Registration is required; call 604-469-4577.

Inlet Book Club: New members are welcome to drop and talk about a variety of books on the first Wednesday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. On Oct. 2, the club will be discussing Love Anthony by Lisa Genova.

Teen Advisory Group (TAG): Fox's TAG advises and helps to plan and develop teen-oriented programs and services. Members organize programs for teens, volunteer as reading buddies and help with other library events, and meetings are fun and always include snacks. TAG membership looks great on resumes and college applications, and volunteer hours are granted for attending monthly meetings and volunteering at library events. Membership is open to all teens. If you'd like to join, attend the next meeting on Oct. 15, 7 to 8:30 p.m., or visit the library to pick up an application.

Crafternoon: Altered Book Workshop: Turn an old library book into a work of art. You bring your creative juices and Fox will supply the old books and other art supplies. All teens are welcome Thursday, Oct. 17, 4 to 5 p.m.
