Drive safely: Driver's License, Insurance and Safety is a workshop in Mandarin set for Friday, June 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the City Centre branch. Henry Lu, a settlement worker at Immigrant Services Society of BC, will discuss: driver's licences of other countries; how to get a B.C. driver's licence; the knowledge test, road test and AutoPlan; and what to do if you get a ticket. Play and Learn: Play and Learn events are held the last Wednesday of each month at Coquitlam Centre, on the lower level in front of the Bay, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: storytimes, songs and crafts. The theme for June 26 is "Get Growing." No registration is required for these free programs, just drop-in.

PoMo Parade: Cheer on the Summer Reading Club Super Heroes in the Port Moody Centennial Parade on Saturday, June 22. PMPL's float features its Summer Reading Club and the parade runs from the civic centre to Rocky Point Park starting at 11 a.m.

Up, up and away: Be a reading super hero this summer. PMPL's Summer Reading Club is now on; you can sign up at the library to receive a special booklet to record your favourite books, and collect weekly stickers to track your reading. Members can drop in to amazing programs and kids who have read for 50 days or more receive a gold reading club medal at a special medal ceremony on Aug. 24.

Online Teen Reading Club: Youths aged 13 to 18 years can join the online Teen Reading Club at www.teenrc.ca. Review and talk about your favourite books with teens from all over the Metro Vancouver area and join in polls to win weekly prizes. Chat with authors Kelley Armstrong and Darren Shan or enter the "What's your story?" contest to win an iPad mini.

Terry Fox Library has a summer reading club for everyone. The clubs are free to join and you can win fantastic prizes:

Teen Summer Reading Club: Teens in Grades 7 to 12 are invited to take off and explore a good book when they join the Teen summer Reading Club. Drop by the library and pick up a free Teen Reading Record and bookmark. For every seven days teens read this summer, they become eligible to win one of several prizes from Fraser Valley Regional Library, including, $100 Chapters Gift Cards and Samsung Galaxy Tablets.

Adult Summer Reading Club: Adults can escape into the world of great fiction this summer. Read books and win fabulous prizes - and make sure to visit the Terry Fox Library and pick up a Reading Record. Here's how it works: Read or listen to a book and mark off a calendar square in your record. When seven days of reading are completed, visit the library to fill out a prize contest ballot and enter to win prizes.
