COQUITLAM
• Library Link: Library Link: will be at Town Centre Park for all the festivities on Canada Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Puppets: Vancouver Puppet Theatre show will come to the Poirier branch on Tuesday, July 3 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and City Centre branch on Wednesday, July 4 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Registration is not needed for this free program but please arrive early to ensure a seat as space is limited. Summer Story Times and Activities begin the first week of July. Check coqlibrary.ca for details.
• Urban Safari Rescue Society: visits Poirier Branch Tuesday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and City Centre Branch July 11 from 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. See and learn about all sorts of animals. Registration is not needed for this free program but arrive early to ensure a seat as space is limited. Check www.coqlibrary.ca for details.
• Stories on Burke: Storytimes are coming to Burke Mountain Fire Hall on Fridays, July 6 to Dec. 14, 1:30 to 2 p.m. during our regular Library Link visits.
• ESL Book Club: This is for adults learning English who read at an intermediate ESL level and up. A book is chosen the month before the club meeting, which is an opportunity to meet others and discuss books in a friendly setting. Meetings are held monthly on Wednesdays (July 4, Aug. 1 and Sept. 5 are the next three) from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the board room at the City Centre branch. PORT MOODY
• Summer Movies: Coco: Drop in and enjoy Coco (PG, 105 minutes) in the Inlet Theatre Wednesday, July 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. The screening is free and no reservations are required but seating is first come, first served. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
• Splash the Staff: Kick off the summer by throwing water balloons at PoMo library staff. On Saturday, July 7, join librarians at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of activities, games and summer reading club fun. The soaking will start at 2:30 p.m.; drop-in and no registration required.  
• Books and board games: Drop in to the library July 5 between 2 and 4 p.m. and let librarians help you find the perfect book. Youth services librarians will help pick out fantastic summer reads while you play board games.
• Stories Galore and More: Join librarians for a rollicking family storytime with songs, stories and silliness. All ages are welcome, from bouncing babies to elementary school students, and each session will feature a fun craft. This program runs Thursdays, July 5 to Aug. 9, 10 to 10:45 a.m. outside of the library complex, and is presented in partnership with the Tri-Cities Literacy Committee.

TERRY FOX
• Kids Lego Club: Terry Fox Library has the Lego, you bring your imagination. Try out the new Keva planks too. This is for children ages five to 10 on a drop-in basis. The club meets Wednesdays, July 11 and Aug. 8, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
• Speech and language drop-in clinic: Drop by Terry Fox Library and talk with one of the Fraser Health Unit’s speech-language pathologists for five to 10 minutes. Your child will receive a brief screening of his or her communication skills and you will receive help for your child’s speech and language development. This clinic is for children who have not been referred and is best suited for families that are not sure if a referral is needed. Clients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis Tuesday, July 24, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
