Tri-City families looking for some hometown fun after spring break can head over to Coquitlam Centre, where the fair will be in the parking lot from April 1 to 10.

Ticket-holders can hop on the West Coast Amusement rides like the Scrambler, Hurricane, Himalaya and Ferris Wheel, while children can enjoy Kiddieland.

There will also be an array of treats and drinks including mini doughnuts, Sno Kones, candy apples and handmade lemonade.

Run by the Hauser family, West Coast Amusements is the biggest Canadian midway operation in western Canada.

In Coquitlam, the hours of operation are (dates and hours vary depending on weather and guest attendance): 

  • Friday April 1: 3 to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 2: Noon to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: April 3: Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Monday, April 4: Closed
  • Tuesday, April 5:3 to 10 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 6: 3 to 10 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 7: 3 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, April 8: 3 to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 9: Noon to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 10: Noon to 6 p.m.

And here are the ride prices (each ride takes three to six coupons): 

  • Gold (single) coupon: $1.25
  • Red book (20 coupons): $25
  • Blue book (40 coupons): $45
