Opportunities to adopt a healthier lifestyle in PoCo include:
Outdoor gym - nine new pieces of outdoor gym equipment were installed along the Traboulay PoCo Trail this summer, creating an active corridor between Lions Park and the 12-piece outdoor gym at Gates Park. It's free and available to people of all ages and fitness levels.
Registered and drop-in fitness and sports programs - sign up at 604-927-7946 or www.experienceit.ca; or view the leisure guide at www.portcoquitlam.ca/leisureguide for full details. Programs include new low-impact Zumba dance fitness classes and the new RIPPED (resistance, interval, power, plyometrics, endurance, diet) fitness program, with free introductory classes on Sept. 5 and 6.

GET PREPARED
PoCo offers free emergency preparedness courses to help residents prepare to survive on their own for the first 72 hours after a major disaster such as an earthquake.
