Starting Saturday, Sept. 8, a new session of Mundy Mudthudders' informal walking group will be held Saturday mornings.

Based in the urban forest trails of Coquitlam's Mundy Park - and branching out to other local parks, including Como Lake, Rocky Point, Belcarra, White Pine and Colony Farm - this co-ed group will appeal to those wanting to kick-start their weekend by meeting up with others who share an enthusiasm for the great outdoors and who are already walking at a steady pace for one hour.

It's a refreshing way to connect with nature and gain fitness within the safety of a group of like-minded folks who love to explore scenic park trails.

Comprehensive map books will be provided for a nominal charge and group walks are held rain or shine.

Mudthudders meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays on the west side of Mundy Park, near the trailhead at the foot of Regan Avenue, adjacent to Hillcrest middle school, near Como Lake Village.
