REGIONAL PARKS
Pinecone Burke Mountain Provincial Park
Pinecone Burke Mountain Provincial Park protects 38,000 hectares of spectacular Coast Mountains terrain south of Garibaldi Provincial Park and north of Coquitlam. It is a wilderness area protecting old growth forest, numerous alpine lakes and remnant icefields.
An extensive network of old logging roads covers the entire Burke Mountain area forming the basis for the current trail system. Hiking is recommended on designated trails only. Trail conditions vary widely - beware of getting lost. Mountain biking is restricted to the loop route only. Motorcycles, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), snowmobiles and horses are not permitted within Pinecone Burke Park.

Belcarra Regional Park - Port Moody
This family park features walking trails that hug the shore, group picnic shelters and a playground. The wharf is ideal for crabbing, fishing, or scuba diving.
Colony Farm Regional Park - Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam
This park offers walking trails in a natural environment, rich with wildlife and gardens.
Minnekhada Regional Park & Lodge - Coquitlam
This historic hunting lodge was built in 1934 and was the home of two former Lieutenant Governors of B.C. The 175 hectare nature park includes a marsh teeming with wildlife, trails, rocky knolls and a view of the Pitt River Floodplain. Activities include nature study, walking and picnicking.
MAJOR PARK AREAS
Blue Mountain Park - Coquitlam
This beautiful park features tennis courts, children's spray park and wading pool, playground and picnic area. Take a walk along the paths or find your way to the waterfall, a popular place for pictures.
Como Lake Park - Coquitlam
This beautiful man-made lake features two playground areas, walking trails and fishing available for seniors and children. Enjoy a few laps around the one kilometer path which circles the lake while viewing the wide variety of birds which make this area their home.
Coquitlam River Park - Coquitlam
This park features an extensive array of walking trails through old growth forest along the Coquitlam River.
Mackin Park - Coquitlam
Enjoy a walk along the perimeter trail of this a beautiful park located in historical Maillardville. Other facilities include softball fields, tennis courts, and wading pool.
Mundy Park - Coquitlam
Coquitlam's largest park - a stunning example of urban nature forest. Visitors can enjoy a long leisurely stroll under the forest canopy. The Mundy Park trail system incorporates a loop trail around Mundy Lake and passes by Lost Lake on the east side of the park. Other amenities include soccer and baseball fields, lacrosse box, outdoor swimming pool as well as a large picnic area and playground for children. Visitors also have the opportunity to try their hand at Frisbee golf on the nine hole course located near the ponds on the west side of the park.
Town Centre Park - Coquitlam
Coquitlam's City Centre is highlighted by Town Centre Park and Lafarge Lake. The centerpiece of this park is the award winning stadium featuring a first class soccer/football field, rubberized eight lane running track, and track and field facilities. Children can enjoy the tot lot year round, while the water spray park is open during the summer. The asphalt walkways around Lafarge Lake are available for rollerblading, jogging or walking. Eight tennis courts are available year round.
Lions Park - Port Coquitlam
Situated along the Coquitlam River, this is a great park for the whole family. Covered picnic area, playground and grassy area are ideal for the family outing. Enjoy the PoCo Trail for rollerblading, walking or bike riding.
Sun Valley Park - Port Coquitlam
Playground and tot wading pool / spray park are ideal for those hot summer days with the little ones in your family.
Rocky Point Park - Port Moody
The highlights of the park include a boat launch ramp, pier, seawall, outdoor pool, playgrounds and a large grass area. Enjoy a 1 - 1.5 km walk around the Shoreline Trail or a 2.5 km trail that winds around the inlet to Old Orchard Park. Or try biking or rollerblading on the paved path.
