A Coquitlam actor will return to the stage next weekend for Theatre in the Country's (TIC) first live show since last November.

Karla Scibner will portray the character of Lynn in Secrets of a Soccer Mom, a comedy the company put on hold as a livestream in April due to B.C.'s COVID-19 provincial health restrictions at the time.

Scibner will be joined by Langley’s Rosie Grympa and Hana Joi of Vancouver for the four live performances — running June 24, 25 and 26 (including a matinee on June 26) — that are directed by Jacq Ainsworth.

Secrets playwright Kathleen Clark will be beaming in from her home in New Jersey on June 26, says TIC artistic director Reg Parks.

Under the current physical distancing protocols, each dinner-theatre — or theatre-only — performance will seat up to 50 guests; the show will also be live-streamed.

For tickets to the live performances at the TIC venue (5708 Glover Rd.) or to watch the virtual production, visit theatreinthecountry.com or call 604-259-9737.
