DANCERS SOUGHT
Does your teen need a bit of cash this summer?
MACHiNENOiSY needs about a dozen youth — aged 15 to 24 — to be part of a 12-day residency at Coquitlam’s Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way).
Successful applicants will work with artistic directors Delia Brett and Daelik as well as a new media artist to create a 30-minute performance that explores themes of identity, gender and community.
No previous dance training is necessary; just open-mindedness and an interest in co-creating a multimedia dance performance.
The gig runs daily from Aug. 22 to Sept. 2, ending in a public show on Sept. 3 called PROX:IMITY RE:MIX.
Queer youth are especially encouraged to sign up as well as students interested in dance, performance and technology. Email [email protected] to apply.
