Arts in brief: Lindbjerg goes 'under the sea'

The production will be a double feature with younger students who will performCinderella Kids. The shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

MOVIE NIGHT

King of Devil's Island is the May offering from the Port Moody Film Society on Friday.

The award-winning 2010 drama with subtitles - starring Stellan SkarsgÄrd (star of David Fincher'sThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - is based on a true story about a group of young delinquent boys in Norway in the early 20th century who live under brutal conditions.

The screening at 7:30 p.m. is in the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Dr.). Tickets at $5 are available at the door on the night of the show (plus a $5 annual society membership).

ART CAMPS

Sign up your child for summer art, drama and dance camps at Coquitlam's Place des Arts. Registration is now open for Summer Fun!, which is open for kids age five to 14.

Select the 50-minute blocks of lessons available for five- to 12-year-olds for the week such as Acting with Masks and Guitar for Beginners. And youth aged 11 to 14 can join the three-hour weeklong workshops such as Playbuilding for Young Actors and Dance Sampler.
