The Passionate Outdoor Painters have paired up with photographer Andrea Ledingham for an exhibit next month at the Port Moody Public Library.
POP - better known as Jane Appleby, Sue Cowan, Randy Green, Sahar McCullough, Sally Turton and Alison White - has been drawing and painting in various media for years; Ledingham is a professional wedding and portrait photographer and a darkroom instructor at Coquitlam's Place des Arts.
MODERN DANCE
A dark, post-apocalyptic dance that stars Coquitlam's Kevin Tookey will open next Wednesday at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver.
The Art of Stealing, a contemporary piece about a gang of six survivors and their existential struggle to survive, is being performed by the company the response.

NOTTINGHAM
Drama 10 and directing students at Heritage Woods secondary will show Little Red Robin Hood next Thursday and Friday at the Port Moody high school.

A storytelling festival by multicultural students at Port Coquitlam's Riverside secondary has been postponed.
Teacher Catherine Yamamoto shelved the May 29 celebration indefinitely due to the teachers' job action, happening May 28 in School District 43.
READ, DANCE
A Metis author will launch her new book at a Port Coquitlam dance studio next Saturday. Eugenea Couture will read from her publication, Adoption Not An Option, at a free event at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio (205-3242 Westwood St.) that will also include three dance performances.
