Terry Fox graduates Robert and Gillian Thomson - aka Sister Says - will open a Labour Day music festival in downtown Toronto on Sept. 1.

The pair, which is currently recording its second album at Watershed Studios, will perform during the Unifest concert with Stars, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings and Les Colocs.

The show is hosted by Unifor, Canada's new union.

THAT'S A WRAP

Young thespians who were mentored by Port Moody's Robert Randall - a Leo award-winning filmmaker- this summer will premiere three of their movies on Tuesday.

The screening will happen Sept. 3 at the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Dr.) and will conclude the season for the Young Actors Project.

A limited number of tickets are available for the show, which will be attended by YAP alumnus and Port Coquitlam resident Nick Purcha, who is currently in the TV series Spooksville.

Meanwhile, auditions for actors aged eight to 16 will be held for the next YAP season. Email [email protected].

NEW SHOW

Paintings by Alexine Law, a member of the Art Focus Artists' Association, will be shown at Port Coquitlam city hall next month. Her images can be seen in the lobby, starting Tuesday.
