A Shakespearean actor known for her New York theatre workshops for kids will bring her talent to the Tri-Cities this fall.
Renée Bucciarelli will be teaching as part of Port Moody's Young Actors Project (YAP) in a 30-week program that includes acting, improv, buffoonery and film.
Also instructing are VanArts teacher Trilby Jeeves, Canadian Improv Games coach Julian Kolstee and Robert Randall, a Leo award-winning filmmaker who runs YAP. Classes begin Sept. 27 in Coquitlam. Visit www.youngactorsproject.ca to register.

Port Coquitlam's two summer music series will cap off this weekend with three bands taking to the Leigh Square and Lions Park stages.

A hit animated flick starring funny man Steve Carell will be screened in Port Coquitlam on Friday as part of the city's Cinema Under the Stars series.
Despicable Me will be shown at 8:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Park (Lincoln Avenue and Hamilton Street) on Aug. 24; bring a blanket and bug spray. Kids can also hop on a fire truck that PoCo firefighters will park on site for the movie event, which is sponsored by G&F Financial; their staff and volunteers will be handing out free popcorn and prizes.
