Branscombe House’s artist-in-residence Rachel Rozanski is hosting a free virtual workshop to teach kids about fossils.

Rozanski is a Canadian artist whose works explore environmental transformations and will teach kids age six to 12 how fossils are created in nature in a one-hour workshop next Monday.

The event will also teach kids where to find fossils across Canada and how to create their own DIY fossils at home using regular baking ingredients, natural materials and printing techniques.

A list of materials will be emailed once registration is confirmed.

Participants will need a computer, smartphone or tablet and access to the internet as the workshop will be held on Zoom from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 24.

Registration is required and can be done so by emailing [email protected]
