Piano students of Coquitlam teacher Kyunghee Choi will tickle the ivories at Terry Fox Theatre on Saturday.
Proceeds from the sixth annual charity piano concert will support the Helpful Hands of Classic Piano Society, which splits the money between the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and disabled people living in Korea.
Choi said she's hoping to take some students back to her home country to disburse the funds. Admission to the show on Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. is by donation at the theatre (1260 Riverwood Gate, Port Coquitlam).
ART GRANTS
The deadline is Dec. 1 for artists and arts administrators to apply for funding for professional development or touring initiatives.
The BC Arts Council money is available for creative writers, dancers, choreographers, visual and media arts professionals, musicians, composers, theatre performers, designers, directors, technicians, museologists and conservationists.
