Next Friday (Nov. 12), Coquitlam’s Place des Arts launches its Holiday Artisan Shop — formerly known as the Christmas Boutique — as well as its Positively Petite show and sale.

Shop wares can be see in person at the Maillardville facility (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) until Dec. 18 or online until Dec. 16 via placedesarts.ca.

To enter the building, make an appointment by calling 604-664-1636 (ext. 0).

As for the annual miniature exhibition, artwork sales are on a first-come, first-served basis and can be bought in person or over the phone; purchased items can be picked up starting on Nov. 19.

The display of small pieces includes paintings, ceramics, fibre arts, sculptures, photos, printmaking and mixed media from more than 30 artists in the Lower Mainland.

Meanwhile, at PoMoArts, its annual Winter Treasures artisan market also opens next Friday at the St. Johns Street centre, which is open on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The virtual opening reception is Nov. 12 at 7:15 p.m. via Facebook Live; the market closes Dec. 22.
