A fundraiser will be held next month to help pay for travel costs for several Tri-City dancers competing in an international competition.
The "Gala for Gold" event will be held at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster on Nov. 29, with the dancers performing routines for the International Dance Organization World Championships, which will be held in December in Poland.
Among the Tri-City dancers who will be returning for their second and third time at the championships as part of Team Canada West are: Caroline Kiddie, Serena Crouse (not pictured), Nicole Hall, Katheryn Isfeld, Colby MacKenzie, Samantha Martin and Samantha Sadler.
And joining them will be first-time Tri-City contenders: Chloe Carpenter, Richelle Gordon, Amber Hall, Greg Jungco, Malaena Lee, Raquel Newton and Megan Rota.
Last year, Canada was named the best international team overall, garnering the most gold medals of the 24 participating nations.
