A play penned by Acting 11/12 students at Port Moody's Heritage Woods secondary has won three provincial awards.

This month, the high school took accolades for outstanding large cast ensemble, technical achievement, and integration and executive of live music for Define: Love.

Directed by Shanda Walters, the play was picked at last fall's MetFest to be the School District 43 representative at the Sears Association of BC Drama Educators' Festival, which ran May 1 to 4 at Douglas College in New Westminster.

"I'm so proud of these kids. Their talent and commitment created a meaningful and very moving piece of art," Walters said.
