When Tori Lockwood moved to Port Coquitlam this year, she wanted to get a foot in the local arts community.
A Thompson Rivers University graduate in fine arts, Lockwood found the Art Focus Artists' Association and, in September, became its newest member.
And this weekend, Lockwood will be showcasing her multimedia work, Naive Art, along with some smaller unframed matted reproductions.
The public exposure is nice, said the Tola yoga teacher who in January will also display her art at the Terry Fox Theatre in PoCo.
In total, 30 Art Focus members will have 100 works on The Outlet walls for the 21st annual fall show, which opens Friday at 7 p.m. and runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show "promises to be a beautiful one," said spokesperson Christine Malone, with a wide range of originals available for purchase during the weekend event at the Leigh Square Community Arts Village (2253 Leigh Sq., behind PoCo city hall).
