Lauded fashion historian Ivan Sayers will be Port Coquitlam this weekend as part of a show that will benefit PoCo Heritage, Terry Fox Theatre and the BC Cancer Society.
His “Unmentionables” fashion display runs on May 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the theatre (1260 Riverwood Gate). Sayers graduated from UBC in 1969 with a BA in Classical studies.
Sayers worked at the Vancouver Museum from 1970 to 1990, and was its curator of history from 1976 to 1990. He has one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of historic clothing in private hands in Canada.
