A Port Coquitlam author will sign copies of her first teen fiction novel in Coquitlam this month.

Deshka Peneff will be at Chapters Pinetree Village (2991 Lougheed Hwy.) on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. to promote Monkey Tales.

The book centres on 13-year-old Eric Larson, a smart boy who wants to become popular and reinvents himself to get noticed by his peers.

But when he tells his classmates he has a pet monkey, his life turns upside down. Peneff, a student at Studio 58 theatre arts program in Vancouver, will be joined for her book signing at Chapters by Cinemazoo.
