Artistic directors Anna Levy and Jane Hayes are celebrating the first anniversary of the Yarilo concert series, which take place in a spacious studio at Levy's home (#34 Shoreline Circle, Port Moody).

On Sunday, April 15 Yarilo hosts an open house from noon to midnight, where guests can get details on the upcoming concert line-up starting May 12, featuring music by Julia Tsenova, Sergei Rachmaninoff and more.

On June 10 the Saxophilia Saxophone Quartet performs new Canadian music and on July 7 and 8 the group celebrates the 140th anniversary of Alexander Scriabin.

SPRING INTO THEATRIX

Theatrix Youtheatre Society announces its 2012 spring session of theatre arts classes.

Tiny Troupers is for kids aged four to six and features storytelling, singing and creative play. Mini Musicals, for kids seven to 10, introduces children to musical theatre.

And for kids aged eight to 12, there's Acting Mania, featuring improv games with Stacee Copeland Kerr.
