About 75 watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings - as well as photos - will be up for sale next weekend as part of the Coquitlam Art Club's annual summer show.
The original pieces by the Dogwood Pavilion members will be on display from Friday, July 6 (7 to 9 p.m.); Saturday, July 7 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.); and Sunday, July 8 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the Centennial Pavilion, located at 620 Poirier St.
There is no cost for entry.
Among the artists featured will be Port Coquitlam's Yoshi Kamei, a Tokyo native who paints landscapes and portraits primarily using oil; he has been with the club for five years.
Meanwhile, in Port Coquitlam, the city is currently hosting two exhibitions from Clay for You pottery club as well as Elizabeth Kyung Ah Hwang, at the Leigh Square Community Arts Village (1100 Leigh Sq.).
Running until mid-July, the show highlights new works from the Tri-City-based club, which is led by master clay potter Jung Hong Kim, who practice traditional Korean style pottery and stoneware.
And Hwang's bold paintings, part of her Vitality series, complement the ceramics.
Over in Port Moody, the library (100 Newport Dr.) is showcasing the portraits of people and animals by Cindy Wu, who has her bachelor's in fine arts from UBC, for the month of July.
