Comic shop and cartooning are among the arts courses starting this month in Port Coquitlam for young creative minds.

Leigh Square Community Arts Village is offering a variety of registered and drop-in classes this fall aimed at toddlers to teens.

Under the visual arts banner: Forces of Nature (5-10 years); So Surreal (7-12 years); Art & Design Essentials (9-12 years); Crazy Cartooning (7-12 years); Touchable Art (5-10 years); Tasty Creations (7-12 years); Monsters Ink (5-10 years); Squishy-Sticky-Icky Painting! (7-10 years); Pro-D Day Art Trick or Treat Creations (7-12 years).

For performing arts: Musical Pups (0-4 years); First Notes (over 5 years); On the Piano (6 and 7 years); Heroes and Villains (8-11 years); Glee Club (9-12 years).

And for the older crowd: Art & Design Essentials (11-15 years); Screen Printing (11-14 years); Songwriting (11-18 years); and The Comic Shop (13-18 years).
