Several "triple threats" from the Tri-Cities will appear in a benefit concert for the Footlight Theatre Society.
The Burnaby company decided not to produce a fall musical but focus on rebuilding its base for next year, said board member Jane Wace.
The Nov. 3 show, called Friends of Footlight, at the Michael J. Fox Theatre will feature company alumni including Port Moody's Julia MacLean, Jillian and Joanne Perkins, Jeffrey Wallace and Alyssya and Ciana Swales and, from Coquitlam, Jennifer Gillis, who made the Top 7 in last year's CBC-TV reality show Over the Rainbow.

Meanwhile, Gillis will be the guest performer at the Maple Leaf Singers' production of Ooh's and Oz at the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody on Nov. 1
The 50-voice choir was founded by the grandparents of Gillis, a Grade 12 student at Gleneagle secondary in Coquitlam.
