Drop into Leigh Square Community Arts Village to meet Port Coquitlam's new artist-in-residence.
Writer Nicole Hillman, who started the job last week, will be at the Gathering Place (1100-2253 Leigh Sq.) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays until March 11. During that time, she'll collect stories and poetry from PoCo residents and compile her work into a publication.
A graduate of the Southbank Writing Program and The Writer's Studio, Hillman is also a facilitator of the Leigh Square Writers Group and teaches creative writing classes for children.
