Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart speaks to the crowd at the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce's annual Mayors' BBQ in September 2022.

Hear from the Tri-Cities civic leaders — and tuck into a barbecue — next month at an annual business gathering in Port Moody.

On Sept. 14, residents can join the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce's Mayors BBQ to connect with local business owners and "grill" the region’s five mayors:

  • Richard Stewart (Coquitlam)
  • Brad West (Port Coquitlam)
  • Meghan Lahti (Port Moody)
  • John McEwen (Anmore)
  • Jamie Ross (Belcarra)

It is the first time the five mayors have spoken at the Mayors BBQ since last October's local elections.

The event takes place at Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.), with the Q&A in the Inlet Theatre at 5:30 p.m. followed by the dinner at 6:45 p.m. served up by Patina Brew House and BBQ in Port Coquitlam.

The Tri-City News is the media sponsor while Aultrust Financial and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority are co-presenters.
