Arts and culture groups in the Tri-Cities have until May 10 to apply for money from Metro Vancouver.

A total of $150,000 is available to create, research, produce and disseminate a project that will serve the region.

Grants will be awarded for up to $10,000 per project.

“As demonstrated by last year’s grant submissions and awards, our region’s arts community is resilient and endlessly creative,” said Sav Dhaliwal, chair of the Metro Vancouver board of directors, in a press release. “We are pleased to support arts organizations in finding new ways to reach and enrich the lives of residents while also staying within ongoing public health orders.”

Among the 2020 recipients were DreamRider Productions Society, which is based in Port Moody; the Vancouver International Children’s Festival Society; the Vancouver Bach Choir; the Capture Photography Festival Society; and the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre.
