Several performers will be in Port Coquitlam on Friday night at an anti-bullying concert.
Among the acts at the Unity Rocks Showcase Extravaganza for I Am Someone on April 25 will be Ria Jade Diy, 16, a singer, songwriter and musician who hosts her own TV show titled eveRIAthing on Shaw.
Also on stage will be Robot Mafia, Bacon Coma, Mike Stoltz, Dr. Brainstorm, Mortimer's Band, Nostrathomas and Charlie Spittel.
I Am Someone is spearheading a project to provide a text-messaging platform that links bullied kids with resources and counsellors.
The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Northside Church (2606 Kingsway Ave.). Tickets at $10 are available at northsidekingsway.com/unityrocks.

METFEST ENTRY
A play penned by Acting 11/12 students at Port Moody's Heritage Woods secondary will be remounted next week before it heads to the B.C.-wide drama fest.
Define: Love was chosen at last fall's MetFest to be the School District 43 representative at the Sears Association of BC Drama Educators' (ABCDE) Festival, which runs May 1 to 4 at Douglas College in New Westminster.
Adjudicator Susan Bertoia selected the one-act piece out of 12 high school plays for its strong ensemble and solo work.
Directed by Shanda Walters, Define: Love - and its cast of 30 students - can be seen in advance at Heritage Woods (1300 David Ave.) on April 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.
It will appear in the Laura Muir Theatre at Douglas College on May 3 at 6:30 p.m. Visit searsbritishcolumbiadramafestival.com.
AN HONOUR
Top students who competed in this spring's Coquitlam District Music Festival (CDMF) will show their talents at an honours concert on Sunday.
The recital that includes piano, speech and vocal winners will take place at the Hyde Creek community church (2145 Nova Scotia Ave., Port Coquitlam) on April 27 at 6 p.m.
And competitors who were chosen by adjudicators to represent CDMF at the provincials (held June 3 to 7 in Penticton) will be recognized. There is no cost for admission; however, donations will be accepted to the CDMF scholarship fund. Visit cdmffestival.ca.
