Tri-City arts centres have programs open for kids on Pro-D Day this Friday.

Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave.) will deck itself out as a farm for a hoedown on Sept. 20. It runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. with students in kindergarten to Grade 5 learning through visual and performing arts.

Activities include an autumn harvest dance, making farm animals out of clay, drawing and painting a duck and creating musical theatre fun in the barn.

The themed day is divided into six blocks for three age-appropriate groups: kindergarten, kindergarten to Grade 2, and Grades 3 to 5. To register, call 604-664-1636.

Across town, at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way), kids aged seven to 14 can spend the day at an arts camp called Festive Fall, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will go on a nature walk and items collected that will be used in a mixed-media collage. Youth will also work with clay to create a pumpkin object. To sign up, visit evergreenculturalcentre.ca.

As well, the Port Moody Arts Centre (2425 St. John's St.) is offering Clay All Day with Pauline Doyle, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for youth aged six to 12. Call 604-931-2008 to sign up.
