A painter and photographer for more than a decade, Shibley is mostly self-taught; however, he studied under local artist Lori Sokoluk and attended the Emily Carr University of Art+Design. Shibley plays with the band D Rail.

Author Janet Love Morrison will talk about the art of writing as well as read from her new book next week in her hometown of Port Coquitlam.

Love Morrison's latest offering, Friends: Six Women, Six Cultures, One Humanity, follows six women who are facing life challenges. They meet once a week to share their stories.

The reading takes place in the Terry Fox Library (2470 Mary Hill Rd., PoCo) next Tuesday at 7 p.m. Register by calling 604-927-7999.
