Gleneagle secondary student Jennifer Gillis appeared on the Parliament Hill stage on Monday as part of the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa.

Gillis, 17, of Coquitlam, was chosen by Canadian Heritage minister James Moore - the Conservative MP for Port Moody-Westwood-Port Coquitlam - to sing the national anthem before an audience of some 100,000 spectators and millions of television viewers.
