Teens who like to perform in public can audition this month to be part of a musical theatre company in Coquitlam.
Place des Arts is calling for youth aged 13 to 17 to be cast in Honk!
The auditions take place at the Maillardville hub on March 30 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and candidates are asked to sing any song and learn a scene from the play and a short dance number.
Those who are picked will work with actor and choreographer Erika Babins on an abridged version of the show, which is based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling. Rehearsals happen on Saturdays from April 12 to June 7 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave.).
The company performs Honk! on Sunday, May 25 at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam.
