Departures, the 2009 Academy Award-winning film for best foreign picture, will be shown next Friday at Port Moody's Inlet Theatre.
The Japanese movie (with subtitles) tells the tale of an unemployed orchestra cellist to returns home to search for work - and resolve some past personal issues.
Presented by the Port Moody Film Society, Departures starts at 7:30 p.m. at the theatre (100 Newport Dr.) on July 13.
Admission is $5 for society members; an annual $5 membership is available at the door.
