A Port Moody secondary graduate has launched her new fashion brand and debuted her second collection.

On Tuesday night, Coquitlam's Charlotte Clissold presented her brand Charlotte Elaine and collection Pétale at the Atelier 2013 fashion show at the CBC Studios in Vancouver.

The event was hosted by the Art Institute of Vancouver.

According to a press release, Pétale is based on the nuanced colours seen in rose petals.

And one outfit from the line has been on display at The Bay in Vancouver as part of the store's showcase of emerging fashion designers and pattern makers from the Art Institute.

Clissold, who has her fashion arts diploma from Vancouver Community College, is expected to earn her diploma in fashion design from the Art Institute this month.

Last year, Clissold unveiled her first collection, Grimm, at the 2012 Fiat Mode XXV fashion show.
