A Port Moody Secondary (PMSS) graduate has been tapped as the stage manager for a summer show on Granville Island.

Julia Lank, a PMSS 2007 grad, is overseeing Marjorie Prime.

The play is being interpreted by the Ensemble Theatre Company at the Waterfront Theatre running from June 15 to July 2.

A 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist, the story explores memory, grief, aging, depression and our relationship with technology — in the year 2062.

Directed by Shelby Bushell, the Vancouver production stars Gai Brown as Marjorie, Carlen Escarraga (Walter Prime), Tariq Leslie (Jon) and Bronwen Smith (Tess).

Lank’s stage management credits include:

  • Tuck Everlasting (Arts Umbrella)
  • On Behalf (Fringe)

  • Alice In Glitterland (Geekenders)
  • The Cake (Pacific Theatre)
  • L’Elisir d’Amore (Burnaby Lyric Opera)
  • Jasper In Deadland (Awkward Stage)
  • City Of Angels (The PIT Collective)
  • Soul Samurai (Affair Of Honour)

Lank is also the marketing director at Pacific Theatre.

Meanwhile, Ensemble Theatre Company is also highlighting Pass Over at the Waterfront Theatre, which tells a story about racism and police violence on Chicago’s south side.

Waterfront Theatre is located at 1412 Cartwright St. in Vancouver.
