Farside Theatre is roaring out with a 1929-set musical Wednesday until Saturday to benefit the Higher Ground Food Bank in Coquitlam.
The show, titled The Great Danny Flynn's Last Silent PIcture - a production that follows the cast and crew of the Silver Screen Studios - is at Coquitlam's Northside Foursquare church campus (1460 Lansdowne Dr.) Admission is $12 plus two items for the food bank.

SING US A SONG
The Guelph Youth Singers, under the direction of Linda Beaupré, are in the Tri-Cities this week as part of an exchange with Coquitlam's Coastal Sound Children's Choir.
The choir was in Guelph in February and the Ontario Singers are now here for the SEVEC-funded trip. And, luckily for music lovers, the two groups will perform together on Thursday in the concert Shine On at 7 p.m. at the Eagle Ridge United Church (2813 Glen Dr.). Admission is by donation. CONNECTING THE DOTS
Juno-nominated children's entertainers Bobs and Lolo will be back in town to celebrate the annual Fingerling Festival at Port Moody's Noons Creek Hatchery this weekend.
The pair will perform on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the nearby PoMo rec complex (300 Ioco Dr.), with the Port Moody Ecological Society event from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Participants can help to release 40,000 juvenile chum salmon into the creek. Visit www.noonscreek.org.
