A Coquitlam musician with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band has returned home from Scottish competitions with three piping awards for his solo work.
Alistar Lee, son of SFU Pipe Major Terry Lee, took the top prize at the Cowal Highland Gathering - which is considered the world's biggest highland games - in the Srathspey and Reel; he also placed second in the March and third in the Piobaireachd.
The hardware comes after SFU took part in this month's World Pipe Band Championships where the senior band placed third in Glasgow - its 20th top-three finish in 30 years of competing.
