If you’ve already started Christmas shopping, an annual shop selling handmade wares opens this week in Coquitlam.

If you’ve already started Christmas shopping, an annual shop selling handmade wares opens this week in Coquitlam.

Place des Arts’ Christmas Boutique launches Thursday for customers wanting to get their hands on holiday decorations, gift cards, paintings and other treasures made by Metro Vancouver artists.

Items can be viewed online via placedesarts.ca/artian-shop, and can be purchased over the phone (604-664-1636) or in person at the Brunette Avenue facility.

Meanwhile, Friday marks the opening of the arts hub’s 31st annual Positively Petite show.

Held in the Atrium gallery and — for the first time, due to social distancing restrictions — online, the exhibit features miniature works by 37 participants.

The sale of the tiny pieces begins Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. in person or by phone, and is on a first-come, first-served basis (art can’t be reserved).

Call 604-664-1636 ext. 0 to book an appointment to tour the gallery.
