Youth aged eight to 16 can learn how to act on the spot at improv camps offered during spring break in Port Coquitlam.

Second Storey Theatre (201-2550 Shaughnessy St.) has a three-day intensive for teens from March 17 to 19 and a kids week-long workshop from March 24 to 28. Both camps runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is the third year performer Jennifer Pielak has run the spring break courses. "I have seen a lot of students break through barriers and grow exponentially in the matter of a few days. They leave with more confidence, creative awareness and a desire to keep performing," she said in a release.
