A musical act from Argentina will be spicing up a Port Moody eatery next week. The Gabriel Palatchi Trio will perform Thursday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

A musical act from Argentina will be spicing up a Port Moody eatery next week.

The Gabriel Palatchi Trio will perform Thursday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Gallery Bistro, featuring the sounds of Palatchi on piano and organ, Chris Haas on drums and Allan Johnston on bass.

The Latin jazz band is on a cross-country tour to promote its sophomore album, Caja Musical (Music Box).

Seating is limited. Tickets at $18 are available at the restaurant (2411 Clarke St.) or $20 at the door on the night of the show. The concession will include Faina (Argentine pizza made with garbanzo bean flour), cookies, orange/lime fizz, hot chocolate and coffee.

Port Moody's Inlet Theatre will be transformed into the land of Narnia next week.

The Emerald Pig Theatrical Society will present The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - the high-fantasy work for children by C.S. Lewis - on Nov. 29 and 30.

Graphite, watercolour and oil paints artist Tracey Costescu will show her craft at a public demo in Port Coquitlam next week.

The Art Focus Art Association will host the event on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Outlet (2253 Leigh Sq., behind PoCo city hall).

Water Window Mirror is published by Wattle and Daub Books and follows her 1995 work, Stemwinder, which celebrates life in the 1930s in the mining town of Hedley.
