Four Tri-City residents will be performing in the Vancouver International Fringe Festival next month.
Coquitlam's Dave Secunda will present In the Time of the Dream Warrior with his daughter, Joylyn. The play, written and directed by William Rubel, will run at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre (1895 Venables St.) and tells the tale of a university student who makes a deal to help his professor find love in exchange for assistance with his spiritual quest.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Hayley Perkins of Port Moody is in the ensemble cast for Zanna, Don't!, a fast-paced musical about teenage love presented by Awkward Stage Productions. Zanna, Don't! runs at CBC Studio 700 (700 Hamilton St.).
And Port Coquitlam's Evelyn Chew is in Burnt Thicket Theatre's She Has A Name, a drama about sex trafficking, written by Andrew Kooman, that was at the Montreal Fringe Festival in June. Chew plays Number 18 in the production that runs at the Firehall Arts Centre (280 Cordova St.).
