Learn about writing and how to get published at Port Moody Public Library's first interactive café, an event that coincides with Canadian Library Month.
Scribes can get tips from five local authors and a freelance editor about how to put pen to paper - and get the words in print.
After the panel discussion, attendees can chat with the speakers.
The authors are Sue McIntyre (poetry); Lois Peterson (children's fiction); Gaetan Royer (adult non-fiction); David Russell (adult fiction); and Julie H. Ferguson (magazine articles), who will also be the moderator.
Freelance editor Joyce Gram will also be on hand to tak about the publishing world.
The Oct. 20 event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Port Moody city hall galleria (100 Newport Dr.).
To register, call the library at 604-469-4577.
