Young artists hone skills at camp

Space is still available for summer camps at the Port Moody Arts Centre. Preschoolers aged three to six can join a new camp called Fun with Friends that gets the little ones painting, drawing, listening to stories and socializing.

Preschoolers aged three to six can join a new camp called Fun with Friends that gets the little ones painting, drawing, listening to stories and socializing.

Kids aged six to 14 can be registered in half- or full-day camps that include sessions in sculpture, puppet shows and art adventures.

And for teens aged 14 to 17, there are classes in acrylics, script writing, photo transfers and watercolour.

As well, for families, PMAC is offering three half-day Family Clay camps that include parent participation.

Grants

Cultural groups in the Tri-Cities can apply for grants of up to $10,000 for their regional projects.

Metro Vancouver is calling for arts and culture organizations to submit their forms by July 24 to fund research, creation, production, dissemination, audience development, project staff and/or administrative capacity building.
