Tri-City teens looking to get a break in the arts industry can apply to be part of a youth talent contest happening this fall in Coquitlam.

Rising stars aged seven to 18 can submit a YouTube video by Oct. 1 that shows their talent. Candidates are asked to upload a three-minute video (or less) to YouTube and to email the link with their name, phone number, age and hometown to [email protected].

The videos can be recorded with a video camera, webcam or smart phone at any location. The finals will be on Nov. 16 at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam.

And competitors will face some top professionals as judges:

Milo Shandel (Principal Tater in Mr. Young with YTV/Disney);

musical theatre producer/director Maureen St. Pierre;

film/TV agent James Strand (In-Motion Talent);

and Ellie King, artistic director of the Royal Canadian Theatre Company.
