10 firefighters, 48 storeys: Coquitlam, Port Moody tackle Climb the Wall

Climb the Wall at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre takes place on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Donations are now being accepted for the BC Lung Foundation fundraiser.

Ten Tri-City firefighters will be pulling on their gear and oxygen tanks on Sunday, March 24, to climb 48 storeys for the BC Lung Foundation.

The annual Climb the Wall fundraiser, which takes place at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre (1000 Burrard St., Vancouver), will see the following smoke-eaters from the Coquitlam and Port Moody fire/rescue departments join in:

Coquitlam

Port Moody

  • Katie Blewman
  • Grant McDonald
  • Rourke O’briain (team captain)
  • Sean Rutledge
  • Isaac Sherley

The aim of the campaign is to raise money for and build awareness about lung health.

According to the foundation, funds raised from Climb the Wall 2024 will be dedicated to sending kids from across British Columbia to asthma camps.
